My brother-in-law suffered from alcohol addiction most of his adult life.  As a result of that addiction 2 marriages failed. He was a man of great faith, yet suffered in silence for fear of the stigma surrounding the disease. He died at 56 leaving behind 5 children.   I firmly believe that if an addiction prevention and recovery ministry or program had been in place in his church, he would still be with us today. This is the reason why I give to GOAL.
