Families try their best to help their loved ones with addiction but oftentimes their efforts backfire.  Why? Joel Jakubowski will peel away some of the layers to help families better communicate and support one another.

You will leave this workshop with an understanding of…

  • how addiction is an affliction based on a pervasive misunderstanding;
  • why families are at an inherent disadvantage in responding to addictive behaviors in healthy and productive ways;
  • characteristics/conditions of addiction as it relates to the concepts of “will power” and “hitting bottom
