3 PCB Credit Hours

It requires a better understanding of how we communicate—this includes how we listen, the word choices we make, when to speak and not to speak. This workshop will provide an overview of how to effectively provide support to family members with substance use disorder (SUD) or any form of addiction. Training includes the role of peers in recovery, how to listen, and what to say to encourage recovery, how to grow trust and provide support, a well as, self-care and set boundaries.
